Mid-day Meal Scheme is the world’s largest school nutrition program. Free mid-day meals are provided to 12 crore (120 million) children of class 1 to 5 in Government and Government aided schools in India. This free-service is provided by the Department of Elementary Education and Literacy, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.

The Government of India has asked mothers to volunteer to take turns to supervise the feeding of the children. You or your friends can also add value to this meal.
