So there we (me and my dad) were, in the gold shop to find myself a decent design for a golden kada (bangle for gents) for my b'day. There were hardly any designs, let alone, decent ones, but a chap in one of the shops suggested that we go to a Gurudwara (Sikh Temple) and get a cheap bronze or steel kada with a design that I like and give it to them and they would replicate the same in gold.

The hunt began, and I selected a one which was really thick and heavy but was worth Rs. 50 only, whereas if I would have made the same in Gold it would have cost me approximately anything between 1.2 lac to 1.3 lac.

As it was already late, we skipped the plan to go to the gold shop and headed home. Dad suggested living up to the name of the day and playing a prank. We told my sisters and mother that this kada is original GOLD.

Initially, no body bought it, but after dad and me put up a serious face and told them it is gold. The trick worked. Everybody still thinks its gold.

Ha Ha.

I will get myself an original one soon, as soon as I and my dad will have time to go to the jewellery shop.

This is how a golden kada looks like.
